1688 basics

Can foreigners buy from 1688?

It may be possible, but language, payment, China-side receiving, supplier communication, and shipping work can become blockers. Supplymo turns that into a quote-based assisted order workflow.

Is 1688 cheaper than AliExpress?

The unit price is often lower, but MOQ, China domestic shipping, service fees, prep, and international shipping can change the decision. Check landed cost before supplier payment.

Is 1688 good for Shopify or TikTok Shop sellers?

It can work for sellers with a clear product and a willingness to test small batches. It is not a first-stage replacement for daily automated one-by-one dropshipping.

Do I need a 1688 account or Alipay?

If you request assisted ordering through Supplymo, you do not need to handle the 1688 ordering details yourself. Supplymo prepares a quote and only proceeds after approval.

What happens after I submit a product link?

Supplymo checks 1688 match quality, rough cost, MOQ pressure, prep needs, route fit, and risk. A product check does not automatically create a purchase.

Do I need to log in to submit a product check?

No. The first product check can start without login. Login or a private link is used later for quotes, order confirmation, photos, and tracking.

Can I submit an AliExpress, Shopify, Amazon, TikTok, CJ, or 1688 link?

Yes. The goal is to decide whether there is a practical 1688 sourcing route for the product clue you already have.

Does a product check guarantee the product is worth buying?

No. It is a cost and risk decision aid. Sales results, platform review, import rules, and category compliance remain the buyer's responsibility.

Pricing and quotes

Is the first product check free?

Yes. Submitting a product and getting a feasibility answer is free. The full written report — match, cost stack, risk flags, and the recommended next action — is $29. Assisted ordering is 3% of order value (min $59); prep and shipping are quote-based.

Do I pay before Supplymo buys from 1688?

No. Supplymo does not purchase from a supplier before the quote is prepared and approved by the customer.

What is included in an assisted order quote?

A quote can include product cost, China domestic shipping, service fee, prep fee, international shipping estimate, risk notes, and quote validity.

Why is final shipping not fixed before purchase?

Actual weight, volume, packaging, consolidation, and route affect shipping. The final shipping amount becomes clearer after goods are received and packed.

Assisted orders

Do you order directly from 1688 for me?

After quote approval, Supplymo can assist with ordering, China-side receiving, photos, light prep, and shipping handoff.

Do you negotiate with 1688 suppliers?

Supplier negotiation is not the default first-stage workflow. The V4 focus is cost transparency, feasibility review, and lightweight execution.

Can you handle small test orders?

This is the preferred first-stage route, but feasibility depends on MOQ, supplier behavior, product type, and processing cost.

Can I cancel after a quote?

Before quote approval, the request can stop. After approval and purchase, product cost, shipping, and handling costs may already be committed.

Labeling and prep

Can Supplymo remove Chinese labels?

Supplymo can quote visible label removal or re-labeling when the packaging allows it. It cannot guarantee every trace or printed package mark can be removed.

Can you add SKU, barcode, or FNSKU labels?

Yes, when the buyer provides the label files and requirements. FNSKU is treated as an Amazon FBA-specific prep case.

Can you polybag or repack products?

Simple polybagging and simple repack can be quoted. Complex custom packaging, kitting, or assembly is not a default first-stage service.

Is photo confirmation the same as full QC?

No. Photo confirmation is basic visual evidence. It is not a full third-party inspection, compliance test, or quality guarantee.

Shipping

Can Supplymo ship to my customer, 3PL, FBA, or TikTok-related destination?

Supplymo can prepare shipping quote or handoff options after destination, packed size, weight, route, and product restrictions are clear.

Can you ship directly from the 1688 supplier to my customer?

The safer first-stage route is China-side receiving before prep and photo confirmation. Direct shipment can be reviewed case by case.

Do you handle customs duty or tax advice?

No. Destination-country duty, tax, import rules, and marketplace compliance remain buyer responsibilities.

When will I get tracking?

Tracking is created after quote approval, purchase, receiving, prep, route selection, and outbound shipment handoff.

Account and orders

When do I need to log in?

Initial product checks can start without login. Formal quote review, order confirmation, warehouse photos, messages, and tracking should use login or a private quote link.

Where can I see quote or order status?

The first version can use email or private quote links. The planned account center will include quotes, orders, timeline, photos, fees, and tracking.

Can I manage multiple products?

You can submit multiple products, but V4 is not a complex procurement SaaS. Formal requests move into a quote cart or sourcing order workflow.

Do you support Google login?

Google login is planned for quote and order stages so it does not block the first product submission.

Risks and restrictions

What products are not accepted?

Counterfeit, infringing, dangerous, unsafe, platform-prohibited, hard-to-ship, or unclear high-risk goods may be declined or manually reviewed.

Do you guarantee the lowest 1688 price?

No. Supplymo focuses on transparent cost, practical risk, and lightweight execution, not lowest-price guarantees.

Do you guarantee product quality?

No. Basic photos and counts are not full QC. Deeper inspection or certification would need separate handling and may be outside scope.

Can you guarantee my product will sell or pass platform review?

No. Sales performance, platform approval, compliance, import eligibility, and category risk remain the buyer's responsibility.
